Barbro Dreher (born December 22, 1957 in Berlin ) is a German political officer . Since February 13, 2019, she has been State Secretary in the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises .

Life

After graduating from the Schiller-Oberschule Berlin-Charlottenburg (1976), Dreher completed the preparatory service as a government inspector in the Senate Department for the Interior by March 1980 . After completing her career training, she was employed in the office management of the Senate Chancellery and the budget department of the Senate Administration for Finance . From July 1982 she was there as a government inspector responsible for investment planning in Berlin. She held this position until March 1993 and was made a civil servant for life in December 1984 . From September 1986 to March 1992 she was responsible for auditing the budget of the Senate Administration for Economics, Transport and Enterprises in the Senate Administration for Finance , and between March 1992 and March 1993 she acted as Head of Audit for the Senate Administration for Building, Housing and Transport . As a result, she took over the department head for the entire budget of Berlin until the beginning of 1996, before she was appointed personal advisor to Finance Senator Annette Fugmann-Heesing . From October 1997 to July 1999 she completed the promotion course for tasks in the higher general administrative service.

At the beginning of 2000, Dreher became a consultant in Section II D (Economics and Transport) of the Senate Department for Finance. From August 2002 to October 2008 she worked in various advisory positions for the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen parliamentary group. In December 2008 Dreher became a consultant for the main committee of the Berlin House of Representatives in the office of a government director. She held this position until December 2012 before taking over the management of the control service , finances and personnel of the Pankow district office in Berlin . In March 2018, she moved to the Senate Department for the Environment, Transport and Climate Protection , where she headed the Central Department .

On February 13, 2019, Dreher was appointed State Secretary for Central Service and Operations and Structural Policy in the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Operations by Senator Ramona Pop . She became the successor of Henner Bunde .
