Bargny is a city in the Rufisque department of the Dakar metropolitan area , located in the central west of Senegal . After the prefecture of the department Rufisque , it is the second largest city with over 50,000 inhabitants.
Geographical location
Bargny is a port city on the south coast of the Cap-Vert Peninsula , the part of the Senegalese Atlantic coast known as the Petite-Côte . The city is the prefecture of the department Rufisque to the east. The capital of Senegal, Dakar, is about 30 kilometers away.
