The list of cities in Senegal provides an overview of the population development in the larger cities of the West African state of Senegal .

By far the largest agglomeration in Senegal are the structurally merged cities of Dakar , Pikine and Guédiawaye with a population of 2,646,503 (status: VZ 2013). This means that around a fifth of the country's population is concentrated here.

The following table contains the major cities (Ville) and cities (Commune) with more than 10,000 inhabitants with the results of the censuses (VZ) of May 27, 1988, December 8, 2002 and November 19, 2013. The region , too, is listed who owns the city. The population figures refer to the municipality within its political limits, without politically independent suburbs.

Rural communities (Communauté rurale) are not listed here, although some of them have a considerable number of inhabitants, with one exception: the pilgrimage site of Touba is listed here because of the exorbitant population. In the communauté rurale Touba Mosquée , which is administratively subordinate to the neighboring town of Ndame , no fewer than 753,313 inhabitants were counted in 2013. Besides Touba, 273 other rural communities have a size of more than 10,000 inhabitants. The largest of these is Malicounda in the Thiès region with 61,031 inhabitants (2013). Finally, there is the group of small towns with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants. It comprises 54 municipalities. One of the smallest is Saraya in the Kédougou region with 2,726 inhabitants (2013).
