Nguèkhokh is a town in the Mbour department of the Thiès region , in western Senegal .
Geographical location
Nguèkhokh is located in the north-west of the Mbour department , in the hinterland of the touristically important Petite-Côte , about eight kilometers from the Atlantic coast. To the north of the city, the Somone flows west to the sea.
Nguèkhokh is located 52 kilometers southeast of Dakar , 32 kilometers south of the regional prefecture of Thiès and 11 kilometers north of Mbour .

The national road N 1 runs through Nguèkhokh . It connects the city to the northwest with Diamniadio , Bargny and the major cities of the Dakar metropolitan region and to the south and east with Saly Portudal , Mbour , Fatick , Kaolack , Birkelane , Kaffrine , Malem Hodar , Koumpentoum and Tambacounda and with the Malian border at Kidira .
Nguèkhokh is connected to the international air transport network via Dakar-Blaise Diagne Airport, which is 19 km away .
