The Barison Peninsula ( Spanish Península Barison ) is a 19 km long and 12 km wide peninsula on the Graham coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It separates Leroux Bay in the southwest from Beascochea Bay in the northeast.
The first sighting probably goes back to participants in the Belgica expedition (1897–1899) of the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery . It was mapped during the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition (1903-1905) under the direction of polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot . Scientists of the 28th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1973–1974) named it after Eduardo Barison Roberts, captain of the Yelcho on this research trip .
