Barnabás Varga (born January 25, 1994 in Szombathely ) is a Hungarian football player .

Career

Varga began his career in his hometown with Haladás Szombathely . For the 2010/11 season he moved to the Austrian fourth division club SV Eberau . With Eberau he had to relegate to the fifth class II. League South that season . In the 2013/14 season you could get promoted back to the Landesliga Burgenland . Eberau was able to become champions of the Burgenland League in the 2015/16 season, but renounced promotion to the Regionalliga Ost .

For the 2016/17 season he switched to the amateurs of SV Mattersburg . In September 2016 he made his debut for the Mattersburg professionals in the Bundesliga when he was called up in the starting line-up on matchday nine against SV Ried .

In January 2019 he moved to the second division club SV Lafnitz . For Lafnitz he completed 29 games in the 2nd division , in which he scored eleven goals. After nine and a half years in Austria, Varga returned to Hungary in January 2020 and switched to the second division Gyirmót SE , where he received a contract that ran until June 2022.
