Barry Sloane

Barry Paul Sloane (born February 10, 1981 in Liverpool ) is a British actor .

Life

Barry Sloane was born in Liverpool . He studied acting and music before making his acting debut in the televised film In His Life: The John Lennon Story in 2000. He got the role of Sean Smith in Brookside . As a result, he was no longer seen before he got the main character Niall Rafferty in the soap opera Brookside . He played this role from December 2007 to November 2008, which was his national breakthrough. He then starred in various television series.

His international breakthrough came with his portrayal of Aiden Mathis in the second and third seasons of the ABC thriller series Revenge , which he played from 2012 to 2014. He was initially seen in a supporting role before rising to lead actor during the second season. From winter 2014/2015 he was seen in the science fiction television series The Whispers, also broadcast by ABC, as Wes Lawrence . Further series engagements followed.

In private he has been married to the fashion designer Katy O'Grady since. The two have a daughter named Gracie Bluebell Sloane (* 2010).
