Barthélémy Batantu
Barthélémy Batantu (born July 14, 1925 in Mayala , † April 26, 2004 ) was Archbishop of Brazzaville .
Life
Barthélémy Batantu was ordained a priest on June 28, 1959 . John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Brazzaville on November 15, 1978 .
The secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Duraisamy Simon Lourdusamy , consecrated him bishop on February 11 of the following year; Co - consecrators were Michel-Jules-Joseph-Marie Bernard CSSp , Archbishop ad personam of Nouakchott , and Jean Pierre Marie Orchampt , Bishop of Angers .
On January 23, 2001, the Pope accepted his age-related resignation.
