The diocese of Nouakchott ( lat . : Dioecesis Nuakchottensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese in Mauritania and the only diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Mauritania with its seat in Nouakchott . On December 18, 1965, it was separated from the Apostolic Prefecture of Saint-Louis du Sénégal and made independent.
