Bartolomeo Tricomi

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bartolomeo Tricomi (* around 1630 in Messina ; † 1709 ibid) was an Italian Baroque painter in Sicily .

Life

The life stages of the portrait painter Tricomi are largely in the dark. His training with Antonio Barbalonga in Messina is considered safe. His classmate at Barbalonga was Agostino Scilla . The often held assumption that Tricomi received additional training from Domenichino in Naples must be rejected because Domenichino had already died in 1641. He was the teacher of Andrea Suppa .
