Bartolomeo della Rovere

Bartolomeo della Rovere OFM (* around 1446 in Savona , † 1494 in Rome ) was a religious priest from the respected Italian family Della Rovere .

Life

The Franciscan was the third son of the Senator of Rome, Raffaele della Rovere, and his wife Teodora Manirolo. Pope Julius II was his brother, Pope Sixtus IV his uncle.

On January 8, 1472 Bartolomeo became Bishop of Massa Marittima and on July 11, 1474 Bishop of Ferrara . From 1480 he was the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem .
