Basel Yaldo

Msgr. Basel Yaldo (Rome 2016)

Basel Yaldo (born May 23, 1970 in Telkaif , Iraq ) is an Iraqi clergyman and auxiliary bishop in the Chaldean Catholic Patriarchate of Babylon .

Life

On November 23, 2002, Basel Yaldo received the sacrament of ordination for the Chaldean Catholic Archeparchy of Baghdad . 2007 Yaldo was in the clergy of the diocese of Saint Thomas the Apostle of Detroit incardinated .

The Synod of Bishops of Chaldean Catholic Bishops elected him auxiliary bishop in the Patriarchate of Babylon. Pope Francis approved his election as auxiliary bishop in the Patriarchate of Babylon on January 15, 2015 and appointed him titular bishop of Bethzabda . On February 6 of the same year, the Chaldean Catholic Patriarch of Babylon, Louis Raphaël I Sako , gave him episcopal ordination . Co- consecrators were Shlemon Warduni , auxiliary bishop in the Patriarchate of Babylon, and Frank Kalabat , bishop of Saint Thomas the Apostle of Detroit.
