Baskemölla is a place ( Tatort ) in the Swedish province of Skåne län and the historic province of Skåne . The fishing village is located about five kilometers north of Simrishamn in the municipality of Simrishamn . The name "Baskemölla" was first mentioned in 1525.

In 2005 the village had 238 inhabitants. By 2010, the share of holiday homes in the total development of Baskemölla rose to over 50%, so that the place was now classified as "Småort" according to the definition of Statistiska centralbyrån (SCB) , although the population was still over 200. In 2015 Baskemölla was given the status of a crime scene again.
