Bastian Dominik Hohmann (born August 9, 1990 in East Berlin ) is a German soccer player . He prefers to play in left midfield .

Career

Bastian Hohmann started playing football in the German capital Berlin . Until the winter break of 2006/07 he played in the youth team of 1. FC Union Berlin . Then he switched to the youth team at Köpenicker SC .

In the summer of 2008, the league club SV Germania signed 90 Schöneiche Hohmann for the first team. While he was a substitute player in the 2008/09 season and only made 13 appearances, he became a regular player in the 2009/10 season and scored two goals in 25 games. In the 2010/11 season , however, Hohmann only came to 13 missions due to injury, in which he scored a goal. In the first half of the 2011/12 season he came back to 14 appearances as a regular and scored three goals.

At the end of January 2012, Hohmann moved to the Portuguese first division club CD Feirense . Feirense had a positive impression of him in a test match in the summer of 2011 and his performance in the first half of the 2011/12 season had convinced them. After a trial session he signed a contract until the end of June 2013. However, Hohmann was not used in the second half of the 2011/12 season , which was also due to the fact that the coach Quim Machado was dismissed in early April 2012 and the successor did not rely on Hohmann. In the summer of 2012, the club was relegated to the Segunda League . On August 5, 2012, he made his debut for Feirense in the preliminary round match of the Taça da Liga against Leixões SC (0-0) when he came on in the 79th minute for Jorge Gonçalves . In the league, however, he was still not considered by the coaches. It wasn't until Quim Machado returned in early October 2012 that his situation changed. At the end of November he was in the league squad for the first time and on December 6, 2012, the 16th matchday of the 2012/13 season , he made his league debut in the home game against FC Arouca (5-0) when he played for Carlos in the 87th minute Fonseca was substituted on.

In January 2013, Hohmann and the US American Jacob Wilson, who moved from SV Germania 90 Schöneiche to CD Feirense six months after him, prematurely terminated their contracts with the Portuguese second division club. Both returned to Germany first. At the beginning of February 2013, Hohmann and Wilson as well as their former American teammate from the time at Germania Schöneiche, Shane Recklet , signed contracts with the Hungarian second division club Vasas Budapest . They had already trained with the team and participated in test matches since January 2013. At Vasas Budapest they met their former Schöneiche trainer Dirk Berger . On January 4, 2014, Hohmann moved to the German second division club FC Erzgebirge Aue , but could not prevail and only ran three times for the second team in the major league. The contract was terminated in summer 2014. After some time without a contract, Hohmann went to BFC Dynamo in 2015 , where he only came on as a substitute in the regional league.

Others

Hohmann successfully passed his Abitur in summer 2011 . By moving from Germania Schöneiche to CD Feirense, he is the first football player to switch from Germania Schöneiche directly to the professional field.
