Batman: The Telltale Series is a computer game released on August 2, 2016 by the developer Telltale Games .

Gameplay

Batman: The Telltale Series is a five-episode video game about the cartoon character Bruce Wayne, who also wears the mask of Batman . For about half of the game, the player plays the character Bruce Wayne and the other half in his alter ego Batman, whereby the player can decide for himself whether he is active as Batman or Bruce Wayne for isolated situations. In the computer game, which is not a photo-realistic adaptation, the player in the modern city of Gotham should be able to make decisions that influence the course of the plot. The focus is on the dialogues and quick-time events .

Production notes

As part of the Game Awards in December 2015, Telltale Games announced the episode game Batman: The Telltale Series with a video . Kevin Bruner, CEO of Telltale Games , announced that the player is reenacting the double life of billionaire Bruce Wayne, who fights criminals in a bat costume as Batman during the night. During the South by Southwest Festival in March 2016, Telltale announced that the game is a story that is separate from other stories about the character Batman. It was also confirmed that Telltale is working on a significantly revised engine that will be used until the release of Batman: The Telltale Series .

The first pictures for the video game were published in June 2016. Here, Batman , Catwoman and the Batmobile to see. It was also announced that Troy Baker will be dubbing Batman aka Bruce Wayne, while Enn Reitel will play his butler Alfred Pennyworth. On July 19, 2016, the first trailer for the game followed, with the exception of the announcement video.

In mid-July 2016 it was announced that the first episode of Batman: The Telltale Series would be available for download on August 2, 2016 for PlayStation 3 , PlayStation 4 , Xbox 360 , Xbox One , Windows , macOS , iOS and Android . In addition, the game was released on September 13, 2016 in the United States for retail, where the game is sold as a disc version, only the first episode is included and the remaining four episodes must be downloaded using a season pass.
