Bauersbach is a small settlement in the part of the district Westernach of the municipality of Kupferzell in Hohenlohekreis in northeastern Baden-Württemberg .
The A 6 runs south and the B 19 runs west.
history
In 1251, Gotefridus de Rotha donated an estate called Biurbach to the Öhringen monastery ; the deed of donation was the first documented mention of the place. In 1276 and 1329 the place name was Biurbach , in 1406 and 1411 it changed to Bursbreit . In 1416 the place was mentioned as Bawsbrett , in 1521 as Bauersbreith and in 1606 as Bauerspach .
In 1807 the place was assigned to the Patrimonialamt Kupferzell. He was assigned to the Schultheißenamt Eschental in 1809/1810 and in 1813 went to the community (Schultheißenamt) Westernach . Together with Westernach, Bauersbach came as part of the community reform on January 1, 1972 to the newly formed community of Kupferzell through a merger. In terms of the church, Bauersbach has always been part of Eschental.
Dinosaur cemetery
In 1977, when the A 6 was being built, the largest dinosaur cemetery in Europe was discovered. Fossils are still being found today.
