Kubach is a hamlet in the demarcation of the district Feßbach of the municipality of Kupferzell in Hohenlohekreis in northeastern Baden-Württemberg . Kubach is located northwest of Kupferzell, the BAB 6 runs in the south.
history
The place probably originated in the 9th or 10th century. It grew out of two farms on the Kuhbach . A distinction is made between Niederkubach and Oberkubach for the first time in 1362 and for the last time in 1576. The following different names of the place are known:
- 1266 Chubach
- 1357 Kubach
- 1362 Kuobach
- 1478 Kubach
- 1483 Kuebach
- 1660 Kuehbach
- 1682 Kuhebach
In 1266 the property in Kubach passed from the von Krautheim family to the Gnadental monastery . Around 1300, patricians from Hall and lower aristocratic families from the area were the owners of the place. However, nothing is known about a noble residence in Kubach.
From 1806 Kubach belonged to the Patrimonialamtes Kupferzell, from 1809 to the municipality (Schultheißenamt) Kupferzell. From 1819 Kubach belonged to the newly founded community Feßbach .
As part of the regional reform, the municipality of Feßbach merged on January 1, 1972 with the municipalities of Eschental , Goggenbach , Kupferzell, Mangoldsall and Westernach to form the new municipality of Kupferzell.
