Neu-Kupfer is a residential area in the district of Westernach in the municipality of Kupferzell in Hohenlohekreis in north-eastern Baden-Württemberg .

location

Neu-Kupfer is located in the southeast corner of the Kupferzell municipality, right on the border with the municipality of Untermünkheim in the Schwäbisch Hall district . The housing estate developed in the 20th century was built on flat terrain between a railway line in the west and the course of the upper copper in the east. In the south it merges without interruption into a new building area in the Untermünkheim hamlet of Kupfer . Immediately behind the railway line, in the direction of Beltersrot, there is an industrial area around the street Im Greut, also on the Westernacher suburb, which was not created until the late 20th century.

traffic

The Kupfer stop is on the western edge of the residential area on the Crailsheim – Heilbronn railway line .

A village road runs through Neu-Kupfer from Westernach in the north-north-west to Kreisstraße 2364/2563 a little to the south in Kupfer, which connects Beltersrot via Kupfer with federal road 19 at the nearby Untermünkheimer village of bereigshausen. Via this from Neu-Kupfer, the connection point Kupferzell of the federal motorway 6 in the north near Westernach on the road is only 4.5 km away.

history

Neu-Kupfer was established in 1945 as the Bahnhof Kupfer estate . The place was mostly settled by displaced persons . Neu-Kupfer came together with Westernach as part of the community reform on January 1, 1972 to form the community of Kupferzell, which was newly formed through a merger.
