From "The construction sign , also called construction board or construction advertisement ", it is no longer about the official form and is no longer
specific to Germany. - Olaf Studt ( discussion ) 19:21, Nov. 6, 2017 (CET)

A construction site sign is a form prescribed in the building regulations in sheet size DIN A4.

For building projects that require approval , it is marked by a large red central point on a white background, for building projects that do not require approval, by a green point.

The sign must contain the designation of the construction project as well as the name and address

  • of the site manager,
  • of the contractor for the shell construction and
  • of the draftsman.

See also " State Building Regulations ".

In Hesse, the construction site sign is officially called the construction sign.

It must be visible from the public traffic area for the entire duration of the construction period. It will be given to the client together with the building permit .

Private construction signs

The construction sign , also known as a construction board or construction advertisement , is a private sign that is set up on the initiative of the client and serves to inform passers-by and to advertise the trades involved in the construction project . As a rule, the draftsman, the engineering offices involved and the main trades are listed. The construction sign often also contains a floor plan or a perspective view of the building as a preview.

Construction signs are usually attached to substructures made of wood, more rarely also from modular aluminum or steel lattice girders, which enable a clearly visible location and must be secured against tipping by adequately dimensioned or weighted feet. In addition, tarpaulins for hanging on a scaffolding or directly on the building as construction signs are common. If no joint construction sign is made, then many construction companies and planners individually attach their own signs to site fences, scaffolding, structures or to their own stand constructions.

For Switzerland see building advertisement .
