The Part-Time Workers' Age Ordinance is a federal ordinance issued by the Federal Ministry of the Interior. It regulates the details of the approval of partial retirement for federal civil servants and thus supplements Section 93 of the Federal Civil Servants Act .
The ordinance empowers the highest federal service authorities to determine the so-called restructuring and job cuts areas. These are the areas in which the granting of partial retirement is intended to cut staff in a socially acceptable manner. Before the ordinance came into force, the Federal Ministry of the Interior had determined the following institutions for job cuts:
- Bundeswehr Administration
- Federal monopoly administration for spirits
- German Bundesbank
- Federal Agency for Post and Telecommunications Deutsche Bundespost ,
- Federal railway assets
- Postal successor company ( Deutsche Post AG , Postbank , Deutsche Telekom )
- German Weather Service
- Air traffic control service at the Federal Aviation Office
- Branch offices of the Federal Network Agency for Electricity, Gas, Telecommunications, Post and Railways
- German Federal Pension Insurance
- Examination offices of the federal government in Cologne and Magdeburg
The salary-related aspects of partial retirement for federal civil servants are regulated in the partial retirement allowance regulation.
