Editing tool
As a processing tool assemblies and tools are machine tools , primary forming machine and forming machines referred to, the feed movements by mechanical and power transmission directly on the workpiece cause a desired change in shape.
The machine tool guidance distinguishes it from hand tools .
Subdivision
Based on the main groups of manufacturing processes according to DIN 8580, the processing tools are subdivided according to the deformation method:
Main group category | Process example | Tool example | Tool category |
---|---|---|---|
Archetypes | Thixoforming | Die | Forming tool |
Forming | Rollers | roller | Forming tool |
Separate | Drill | drill | Cutting tool |
Put | Screw | screwdriver | Screwing tool |
Classification of tools
Tools are divided into the following classes:
- Rotationally symmetrical tools (drills, milling cutters)
- Non-rotationally symmetrical tools (turning tools, single-edged tools)
- Complex, composite tools (angle drill heads, drill heads with more than one tool)
