Beastars ( Japanese ビ ー ス タ ー ズ ) is a manga series by Paru Itagaki that has been released in Japan since 2016. In 2019 the series was adapted as an anime series. The drama is about a world in which anthropomorphic animals live peacefully with one another, regardless of whether they are carnivores or herbivores, but some tend to follow their instincts.

content

The peaceful coexistence of herbivores and carnivores is disrupted when the alpaca Tem is killed and eaten. In the theater group of the Cherryton School, in which Tem was there, all herbivores are now suspicious of the stage worker and gray wolf Legoshi. When Legoshi meets the angora goat Els alone, she is also afraid of him. But the surprisingly sensitive Legoshi only hands her a love letter from Tem. He was good friends with Tem and wants to hand over the letter to his destination after his death. Some time later, Legoshi meets the dwarf rabbit Haru and soon develops deep feelings for her.
