Beata Mazurek (born October 19, 1967 in Ostrów Mazowiecka ) is a Polish politician . She has been a member of the Sejm in the V., VI. , VII. And VIII. Electoral term. From January 11, 2018 to May 28, 2019, she was one of the Vice-Marshals (Vice-President). In May 2019 she was elected to the 9th European Parliament . Until then, she had also been the press spokesperson for the Law and Justice Party (PiS) since December 2016 .

She finished the private general education Lyceum of the Order of the Sisters of the Risen in Warsaw . In 1991 she received her MA in Sociology from the Catholic University of Lublin . She also graduated from the University of Entrepreneurship and Administration in Lublin with a postgraduate course in Management in Administration and Local Self-Government and in European Administration and Self-Government from the Humanistic University in Pułtusk .
She was chairman of the city council for disabled people in Chełm and co-author of an action program for equal opportunities and integration of disabled people in that city.
In the parliamentary elections in 2005 she was elected to the Sejm with 7,012 votes on the list of PiS for the constituency of Chełm . During this fifth term she sat in the Sejm Commission for EU Affairs. In the 2007 Sejm elections she was confirmed as a member of the PiS with 15,821 votes. During the VI. She was a member of the Sejm Commissions for EU Affairs and Social Policy. In the 2011 Sejm elections she was confirmed as a member of the PiS with 22,249 votes. During the seventh electoral term she was a member of the Sejm Commissions for Special Services and Social Policy. In the 2015 Sejm elections , she was confirmed as a member of the PiS with 30,365 votes. During the eighth electoral term until 2018 she was a member of the Sejm Commissions for Special Services and Social Policy (chairman).
After winning the 2015 parliamentary elections , she became press spokeswoman for the PiS Club, and from December 2016 also for the party.
