history

The previous building was probably built in the 14th century at the latest, as indicated by the narrow windows in the east wall and the sacrament niche in the choir. After this fell victim to a fire in the 16th century, today's church was built . It is surrounded by a wall. The church tower has a gable roof . To the east and west, the choir and nave are the same width with gable roofs.

The entrance door has been on the south side since the 18th century. Behind it is the crucifix from the 15th century walled in sandstone . In the church there are also gravestones from 1590 and 1599 of the wives of the then landlord from Ehringsdorf Veit Christian Brück (one of them a granddaughter of Lukas Cranach ) and an epitaph for the Privy Councilor Volkmar Heinze and his wife from 1694.

In 1908 the nave was extended to the west and a pneumatic organ was installed. Then the house was painted.

There is an unadorned pulpit in the choir . Wooden panel paintings with eight apostles are built in.

The weather vane bears the year 1929. At that time the church tower was probably covered with slate .

In 1987 the church was renovated and painted. In 2006 the same procedure followed and the floor was renewed.
