Beate ego

Beate Ego (born February 5, 1958 in Lauffen am Neckar ) is a German Protestant theologian .

Life

From 1977 to 1984 she studied Protestant theology, German , Jewish and comparative religious studies in Tübingen and Jerusalem . She completed her doctoral studies (1984–1987) with a one-year study visit at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem with a doctorate at the Faculty of Protestant Theology in Tübingen. From 1989 to 1998 she was a research assistant or academic adviser at the Institutum Judaicum at the University of Tübingen . After her habilitation in 1994 and Venia Legendi for “Old Testament and Judaic Studies” at the Faculty of Protestant Theologians at the University of Tübingen, she taught from 1998 to 2010 as professor for “ Old Testament and Ancient Judaism” at the Institute for Protestant Theology at the University of Osnabrück . Since winter semester 2010/2011 she has been teaching at the chair for “Exegesis and Theology of the Old Testament” at the Ruhr University in Bochum .
