Beate Liebich

Beate Liebich (born Lüdtke ; born February 21, 1958 in Malchin ) is a former German middle -distance runner who specialized in the 1,500 meter distance and started for the GDR .

At the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980, she was eliminated in advance. In 1982 she won bronze at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Milan and took 37th place at the World Cross Country Championships in Rome .

In 1982 she became East German indoor champion and vice-champion outdoors. In 1977 she was also the GDR runner-up in the 800 m hall .

Beate Liebich started for the SC Turbine Erfurt .
