Beatrix Bühler

Beatrix Bühler (born July 13, 1948 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; † June 21, 2014 in Bern ) was a German director and dramaturge .

Life

Beatrix Bühler studied theater studies , philosophy and German in Berlin and Vienna . In 1981 she went to the Stadttheater Bern and started there as an assistant director, later she was engaged as a director and dramaturge, from 1990 Bühler worked as a freelance. From the beginning she was associated with the theater festival AUAWIRLEBEN , founded in 1982 , which she partially directed from 1985 to 2014. In addition, she played a key role in the creation of the Schlachthaus Theater in Bern. Bühler supported young artists in a variety of ways and advocated children's and youth theater.

The multiple award-winning artist succumbed to cancer shortly before she turned 66.
