Beau Mark Bokan (born November 30, 1981 in Huntington Beach , Orange County , California ) is an American metal musician.

Life

Beau Mark Bokan was born on November 30, 1981 in Huntington Beach, Orange County , California , and has Mexican roots. In May 2012, he married his long-time girlfriend Lights , with whom he has a daughter who was born in 2014. Bokan has lived in Mission , British Columbia , Canada since 2014 .

He is Roman Catholic , lives Straight Edge and has been a vegetarian since 2017 .

Career

In 2004, Bokan and guitarist Tony Gonzalez founded the post-hardcore / electronic rock band Take the Crown in Huntington Beach, in which he was the lead singer. Bokan stayed in the band until the group split up in 2008 and released two EPs and a full album with them. The band's only album, Relapse React , was released in May 2008 through Rise Records .

Shortly after breaking up with Take the Crown, Bokan joined the metalcore band Blessthefall , where he replaced former singer Craig Mabbitt . With Blessthefall he has released five studio albums so far, which were able to reach chart entries in the national album charts .
