The Bebra is a right tributary of the Wipper in Sondershausen in Thuringia in Germany.
course
The Bebra rises southwest of the town of Sondershausen in a side valley of the Hainleite . This valley separates the western Hainleite (at Frauenberg 411 m) from the middle Hainleite (at Göldner 406 m). It flows mainly in a north-easterly direction to Sondershausen. The water of the Bebra used to drive some mills in the upper reaches. The Bebra ponds are located above the Sondershäuser district of Bebra . In Sondershausen it partly flows underground. The Bebra is also run underground up to approx. 50 m before it flows into the Wipper.
Others
The Wolkramshausen – Erfurt railway line and the new section of Bundesstraße 4 , which opened in 2008, run partially parallel to the stream. The Bebraer ponds with their bathing possibilities are a recreation area of the district town.
