Becca Fitzpatrick (born February 3, 1979 ) is an American author who is known for her New York Times bestseller Angel of the Night . The Angel of the Night series of novels was translated into German by Sigrun Zühlke and was published by Random House in German-speaking countries by Page & Turner Verlag .

life and career

She grew up in North Platte , Nebraska and graduated from Brigham Young University in April 2001 with a degree in preventive health care . She worked as a secretary, teacher and accountant at an alternative school in Provo , Utah .

In February 2003, her husband enrolled her in a writing class on her 24th birthday. In this class she started writing Angels of the Night . In December 2012, Entertainment Weekly announced that LD Entertainment had secured the film rights to the series. Patrick Sean Smith has been confirmed as the screenwriter for the first film.
