Beck (noble family)

Beck is the name of various, unrelated German noble families . Only the family who was raised to the nobility of Baden in 1884 is dealt with here. This family came from the Allgäu and began the direct line of trunks with the farmer Peter Beck (* 1657 in Rottach near Immenstadt in Allgäu ; † 1752 ibid). The descendants later moved to the imperial city of Gengenbach .

Nobility rise

Elevation to the Baden hereditary nobility on February 4, 1884 in Karlsruhe for Dr. med. Bernhard Beck , royal Prussian general physician 1st class, corps physician of the XIV Army Corps . The Prussian approval followed in Berlin on March 10, 1884.

The branches of Beck-Rzikowsky and Beck von Schwörburg also belong to this family . The former received the Austrian knighthood in 1861, the baron status in 1878 and the count status in 1906. The name association with the Barons von Rzikowsky von Dobrzicz took place in Vienna in 1913. - The Beck von Schwörburg were raised to the Austrian knighthood in 1854 and have a different coat of arms.

The goat growing on the helmet with brown-gold covers.
