Beda Humbel

Beda Humbel (born November 20, 1933 in Birmenstorf ; † June 15, 2019 in Baden ) was a Swiss politician and National Councilor ( CVP ).

biography

Humbel attended the district school in Baden. He then completed an apprenticeship as an administrative clerk at the commercial vocational school in Baden. He studied on his second educational path and in 1961 obtained the Aargau notary's license. From 1960 to 1961 Humbel was the parish clerk in Eiken , since 1962 he has had his own notary's office in Baden, which has been run by his son since his retirement.

From 1965 to 1980 Humbel was a councilor in the canton of Aargau , of which he was president in the 1977/78 term. During his time as National Councilor (1979–90), the focus of his work was on energy and security policy. From 1986 to 1990 he was President of the Energy Forum Northwestern Switzerland.
