The Begna is a river in Norway . It flows from Filefjell in southern Jotunheimen through Valdres and flows into Lake Sperillen at Nes . It leaves this as Ådalselva , which merges with the Randselva in Hønefoss to form the Storelva . After Hønefoss it flows into the Tyrifjord . The Begna is 213 km long and has an altitude difference of approx. 1,850 m. It is the eighth longest river in Norway.

In the upper reaches it is also called Storåne . In Valdres it flows through several lakes, including Otrøvatnet , Vangsmjøse , Slidrefjord , Strondafjorden and Aurdalsfjorden .
