At the cross is a 2783 m above sea level. A. high summit of the Villgratner (Defferegger) mountains in East Tyrol .
Location and landscape
The flat ridge summit is located in the main ridge of the Villgraten Mountains, between the East Tyrolean Pustertal to the south and the Defereggental to the north.
The main ridge runs westwards over the Roßweglscharte to Regenstein ( 2891 m above sea level ), and south-eastwards over the Kote 2806 (Kreuzkuppe) to Hochegg ( 2720 m above sea level ). The ridge goes south to the Arnschartl ( 2632 m above sea level ) and the Arnhorns (Hohes 2800 m above sea level ).
To the south-west lies the Ausservillgraten Winkeltal , which the Arnbach flows from the Kar am Regenstein . The Winkeltalbach goes over the Villgratenbach to the Drau. To the southeast lies the furthest approaching Kristeinertal with the Sichelsee , the source of the Kristeinbach . This stream drains directly to the Drau near Mittewald . North is on the top Zwenewaldtal the Geigensee that over the Glauritbach and Hopfgarten then the Isel , the tributary of the Drava in Lienz , drained.
The summit forms the border point of the communities Anras (cadastral community Anras ), Auservillgraten (only this cadastral community) and Hopfgarten in Defereggen (only this cadastral community).

Marked hiking trails to the west, south and north lead over the passes and connect the lakes of the mountain region, a good dozen. The summit itself is easy to climb, unmarked, but is rarely climbed.
To the north is the Glaurithütte (approx. 2430 m above sea level ), a small self-catering hut on the Geigensee .
