Ossuary in Argol

The ossuary in Argol , a French commune in the west of the Finistère department in the Brittany region , was built in 1665. The ossuary in the style of the Renaissance stands next to the church Ste-Genevieve middle of the cemetery.

The building made of local sandstone has a round arched portal framed by pilasters . An ox-eye can be seen to the left. The large room is illuminated by four arched windows. The year 1665 is carved between the first two windows. A holy water font is integrated into the facade in the central axis of the windows .

The gable roof is covered with rectangular stone slabs.
