Ossuary in Commana

The ossuary in Commana , a French commune in the Finistère department in the Brittany region , was built between 1677 and 1687. In 1915 the ossuary on the Place de l'Eglise was included in the list of architectural monuments in France as part of the enclosed parish as Monument historique .

The building made of local granite has an unadorned portal on the south side and two arched windows to the right and left of the entrance. Holy water basins are integrated into the facade under all windows . The gable roof is covered with rectangular stone slabs and the gables are decorated with mythical creatures and a cross.
