Bekasi is a large city in the Indonesian province of Jawa Barat . It is located east of Jakarta and had 2,378,211 inhabitants in 2010. Together with Jakarta and the neighboring cities of Bogor , Depok and Tangerang in the south and west , it forms the Jabodetabek metropolitan region .
