Bekir Akgül (born July 21, 1973 ) is a former Turkish ice hockey player who was last under contract with Büyükşehir Belediyesi Ankara SK in the Turkish Super League until 2013 .

Career

Bekir Akgül began his career as a hockey player with Emniyet SK , for whom he made his debut in the Turkish Super League in 1993 . After a year at Bogazici PSK Istanbul , he played from 2000 to 2004 for the team of the Turkish Police Academy in Ankara, with which he was Turkish national champion in 2001 and 2004 . From 2011 to 2013 he let his career end with Büyükşehir Belediyesi Ankara SK .

International

Akgül first played with the Turkish national team at the D World Championships in 1998 , 1999 and 2000 . After switching to the current division system, he was on the ice for the team from the Bosporus at the World Cup in Division II in 2002 and in the competitions in Division III in 2003 and 2012 .
