The siege of Groenlo by Dutch troops under the command of Moritz of Orange took place from 14 to 24 July 1595 during the Eighty Years' War and ended with the arrival of a Spanish relief army under Cristóbal de Mondragón and the retreat of Moritz. Two years later Moritz returned and was finally able to take Groenlo after a siege of 17 days .
