Belzmühle

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Belzmühle is a mill and desert that was abandoned in the 19th century . It was part of the rural community Allmannsdorf, which was created in 1811/1818 . Today the area belongs to the territory of the market Pleinfeld in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .

The Belzmühle was located in a wooded area on the Brombach , not far west of the Mandlesmühle and east of the Prexelmühle on the connecting path from Pleinfeld to Stirn at an altitude of 374  m above sea level. NHN .

The mill was built in 1572 as the "New Mandlesmühl". In the 17th century the name Pletzmühl has been handed down, 1787: Belz- or lower Mantles Mühl , 1818 Betzmühl . The name probably comes from the family name of an owner of the mill.
