Robert Benedict Browder (born December 11, 1962 in Memphis , Tennessee ) is an American actor .

biography

He grew up in Charlotte , North Carolina and attended Furman University in Greenville , South Carolina , from which he graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology.

Ben Browder's family operated a NASCAR Busch Racing Track until a few years ago , but they gave up on it to concentrate fully on his brother Neil's NASCAR career.

After graduating, Browder went to Europe and studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London . There he met his future wife Francesca Buller, whom he married after graduating in 1989. The couple have two children.

In the television series Farscape , Ben Browder played the astronaut John Crichton , who finds himself in an unexplored part of the galaxy after a failed space experiment.

Ben Browder and his family lived in Sydney , Australia for almost four years , but after the end of Farscape , which was filmed there, they returned to the United States, where Browder made several guest appearances on popular series such as CSI: Miami and played some movie roles. From 2005 to 2007 he was part of the regular cast of the series Stargate - Kommando SG-1 and each played a leading role in the two films that followed the series, Stargate: The Ark of Truth and Stargate: Continuum .
