Ben Ibata (born July 31, 1974 ) is a German volleyball player of Congolese origin.

Volleyball career

Ibata began his volleyball career in 1990 in his home country with the first division club CARA Brazzaville . From 1991 he played in France, first in Orléans and Blois , and then from 1994 to 1996 with the first division club Arago de Sète . From 1996 he played for TV Biedenkopf and in 1999 moved to the second division TSV Unterhaching , with whom he was promoted to the first division in 2000. The middle blocker was a leading player in Unterhaching and represented in the rankings of German volleyball . After the end of his volleyball career, Ibata was also active in snow volleyball .

Ibata was born in the Republic of the Congo and later came to France , where he studied economics at the University of Orléans and at the University of Montpellier . Since 2001 he has been the managing director of a consulting company in Munich .
