Ben Werner Streubel (born May 16, 1970 in Weilburg / Lahn) is a German radio presenter, best known for his night presentations on SWR3 / ARD Popnacht .

Life

Streubel grew up as the youngest of three brothers in the Westerwald . He attended the Philippinum Weilburg grammar school , graduated from high school in 1989 and studied German and geography for teaching in Würzburg .

During his civil service in 1989, Streubel took on the role of moderator for the radio station Radio St. Vincenz in the St. Vincenz Hospital in Limburg . From 1990 to 1994 he moderated at Radio Gong (now 106.9 Radio Gong ) in Würzburg, and from 1993 also at Hit-Radio Antenne 1 (now Antenne 1 ) in Stuttgart as Morningman . Streubel, also known as “Bennibär”, has been working at SWR3 since 1998 . Since 2002 he has regularly moderated the nighttime program "Luna" four times a week, which is also broadcast on eight other ARD pop waves as part of the ARD Pop Night . He is also on tour regularly as Live Lyrix-Man for SWR3.

Every year, Streubel sits on the jury of the Udo Lindenberg Foundation's "Panic Prize" to promote young musicians.
