Benedikt Stienen (born January 12, 1992 in Brilon ) is a former German discus thrower .

Athletic career

Benedikt Stienen was a member of the national team of the German Athletics Association ( DLV ) from 2010 to 2016 . In total, he came to seven international appearances for the German national team. From 2014 he started for TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen . Before that he was active for his home club, the LAC Veltins Hochsauerland . With 63.52 m, Benedikt Stienen has held the Westphalia record in the U20 age group since 2011. The greatest sporting success is the win of an individual medal at the European Championships with the bronze medal at the Junior European Championships 2011 in Tallinn / Estonia .
