Beneyam Belye Demte (born July 18, 1998 in Dire Dawa ) is an Ethiopian football player .

Career

society

Belye started his career at CBE SA Addis Ababa . From June 2017 he completed a trial training session in Germany with the second division team Dynamo Dresden . In mid-July 2017 it became known that Belye would not receive a contract. He then trained at the league competitor FC Erzgebirge Aue . He was also invited to trial training by the Austrian Bundesliga club FC Red Bull Salzburg . But neither of them signed him.

In August 2017, Belye finally moved to Albania for KF Skënderbeu Korça . There he immediately won the championship and cup double in his first season. Then he moved on to the Swedish second division team Syrianska FC in 2019 . He has been under contract with Umeå FC since the beginning of 2020 .

National team

Belye made his debut for the Ethiopian national team in September 2015 when he came on as a substitute in the friendly against Botswana .

Trivia

Belye's name was initially incorrectly transmitted to Germany . Hence, Beneyam Belye was initially called Binyam Belay .
