The Kleiner Löffler , also known as Kleine Spoonspitze or Purtschellerspitze , is 3045 m above sea level. A. high mountain peaks of the Prettaukamm in the Venediger group . The summit lies on the Italian - Austrian border and was first climbed on August 13, 1904 by A. Langbein.

The Kleine Löffler is located on the Italian-Austrian border or on the border of the East Tyrolean community of St. Jakob in Defereggen in the south and the South Tyrolean community of Prettau in the north. The mountain peak in the northeast of the Prettaukamm ridge is in the southwest through the Löfflergratscharte ( 2968 m above sea level ) from the northeast peak of the Löfflergrat ( 3124 m above sea level ) and in the east through the Kematerscharte ( 2934 m above sea level ) from the Kemetspitze ( 3004 m above sea level ) separately. The South Tyrolean Röttal runs north of the Kemetspitze, and to the south lies the head of the Schwarzach Valley . The mountain flanks of the Kleiner Löffler are protected by the Hohe Tauern National Park and the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park . The closest refuge is the Lenkjöchlhütte in the north.
Promotion opportunities
The normal route on the Kleiner Löffler starts in the Schwarzachtal, which can be reached from South Tyrol via the Klammljoch or from East Tyrol via the Alpengasthaus Oberhaus (St. Jakob in Defereggen). The ascent through the Schwarzachtal follows the Schwarzach to the head of the valley. From the head of the valley you have the option of either climbing the Löfflergratscharte and the southwest ridge or the Kematerscharte and the east ridge ( I-II ). It is much more difficult to negotiate the direct east ridge or the south-east wall ( III + or III ).
