Bengio (musician)
Bengio (* 7. July 1993 in Fulda as Ben-Giacomo Wortmann ) is a German singer and songwriter .
Life
Bengio came into contact with German music at an early age through his father, who works in the music industry. In 2013 he released his first album BENGIO . This resulted in the nomination for the You FM Newcomer Award. With the single I come home now , Bengio achieved greater success and attention for the first time. Because of the attention he gained, he sent a single to the manager of musician Samy Deluxe , which resulted in a collaboration. In an interview, Bengio said: "Between Samy and me it was never about contracts or money from the start, it was always about music."
At the end of 2015 his first EP was released, entitled Unterwegs, which, however, did not make it into the charts . The first and only single was the song Friendship . Since then he has been producing beats and writing songs himself. By his own admission, Bengio once tried to write a book. On December 9, 2016, the single Irgendwas with Yvonne Catterfeld was released, which Bengio got more attention and achieved his first chart success.
In October 2017, Perfeqt was the first single from his second album Wunderschönes Chaos , which was released on November 30, 2018. The songs Wir und Glück (with Lina Maly ) were released as the second and third single on June 1, 2018 . Model and presenter Lena Gercke played in his music video for the fifth single Fan von dir from the album, which was released in November 2018, but the single did not make it into the German charts. On November 30, 2018, he performed this song on The Dome . In March 2019 appeared with eyes the last single from the album, which again missed the charts.
He is the father of a daughter.
