Benjamin Baltes (born March 30, 1984 in Saarbrücken ) is a German football player .
Career
Baltes, who came to the regional league team of KFC Uerdingen 05 from his own youth in 2002 , made his breakthrough there in the 2004/05 season , in which he played 32 games and scored eight goals. Baltes was voted “Player of the Year” in Uerdingen.
Since the KFC Uerdingen received no license for the 2005/06 season and thus had to relegate to the Oberliga Nordrhein , Baltes decided to change clubs. Baltes had various offers from the first and second division and decided on SC Freiburg , where he signed until 2008. After only one season and 15 missions, Baltes left the sports club and switched to the regional league club VfB Lübeck for the 06/07 season . His contract there was dissolved again after 43 missions during the winter break of the 2007/08 season, as the Lübeck club got into massive financial difficulties. Baltes then joined the regional league competitor Rot-Weiss Essen .
For the 2008/09 season, Baltes moved to the third division club FC Erzgebirge Aue and wore the number 7 on his back. However, he could not prevail and only played ten games, none of them over 90 minutes. For the second half of the 2009/10 season he moved to the 2nd team (U23) from Borussia Mönchengladbach and signed a contract there until the end of the season.
In the 2010/11 season he played in the Dutch Eredivisie for Excelsior Rotterdam before returning to Germany for the 2011/12 season. He moved to the regional division Wuppertaler SV Borussia . After a year he left the WSV and moved to the upper division KFC Uerdingen 05 . With the KFC he rose to the Regionalliga West in the 2012/13 season . In 2014, Baltes was signed by the district league club Rather SV , with whom he was promoted directly to the regional league.
Baltes already played in the U-20 national team.
