Benjamin Ebrahimzadeh (born January 3, 1980 in Saarbrücken ) is a former German - Iranian tennis player and today's coach.

Career

In his career, Benjamin Ebrahimzadeh was only successful on the ITF Future Tour . In 2005 he won his only single title in France. In the world rankings he achieved his best placings with rank 512 in singles (January 2006) and 737 in doubles (May 2007).

Ebrahimzadeh, who also holds Iranian citizenship, made his debut for the Iranian Davis Cup team in 2008 . This season - it was his only one on the team - he played five games. He won three of his four individual games, in the game against Pakistan he had to admit defeat to Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi in two sets. In doubles he won one of three games.

Ebrahimzadeh has been a coach since the end of his playing days. He trained Angelique Kerber and Cedrik-Marcel Stebe . He had already looked after Kerber temporarily in the 2013 season , and from 2014 he accompanied her full-time. Before that he was head coach at the Alexander Waske Tennis University . In March 2015, Kerber separated from Embrahimzadeh. Since April 2015, Ebrahimzadeh has been the technical coordinator for the Champ 'Seed Foundation , a foundation set up by Patrick Mouratoglou, Serena Williams ' trainer . It has set itself the task of supporting young tennis talents who do not have the financial means to reach an international level. Since January 2016 he has been training the French player Alizé Cornet .

Benjamin Ebrahimzadeh is married and has two children.
