Benjamin Moukandjo Bilé (mostly just Benjamin Moukandjo , born November 12, 1988 in Douala ) is a Cameroonian football player who is under contract with RC Lens . He holds the position of striker .

Career

Moukandjo began his career at the Kadji Sports Academy at the age of ten before moving to Stade Rennes in 2007 . At Rennes, he was only given opportunities in the B-team, so he was loaned to Entente Sannois Saint-Gratien for the 2008/09 season . He then moved to Olympique Nîmes , where he came in Ligue 2 for his first appearance in professional football . In total, he played 46 times for Olympique Nîmes and scored eight goals.

During the winter break of the 2010/11 season, Moukandjo moved to AS Monaco , for whom he scored three goals in 16 games. At the beginning of the following season he joined AS Nancy.

In June 2017, Moukandjo moved to Jiangsu Suning in the Chinese Super League for 5.5 million euros . At the end of February 2018, he was loaned to Beijing Renhe for the remainder of the season , who also played in the Chinese Super League, the highest Chinese league, that season. After this loan expired at the end of 2018, he was back in Jiangsu Suning's squad, but did not play a game for the club. As of February 28, 2019, the early mutual termination of his contract was agreed.

Moukandjo was then initially without a contract before signing a contract with the French club RC Lens , which plays in Ligue 2 , the second highest French league, on September 11, 2019 .

During the 2019/20 winter break , Moukandjo moved to Valenciennes FC on a free transfer .

National team

In 2011 Moukandjo came for the first time for the Cameroon national team. With Cameroon he took part in the 2014 World Cup and was on the starting line-up for the first game against the Mexican national team . At the African Cup of Nations in 2017 , he scored one goal in six games. In the final against the Egyptian national soccer team , he prepared the 1-1 for Vincent Aboubakar . In the end, they won the game and became the 2017 African champions.
